Best Practices and Systems of Support for Justice-Involved Veterans

This webinar will provide an overview of emerging best practices and systems of support for justice-involved Veterans from the “front end” or initial point of contact with first responders to the point of reentry and readjustment with support from systems, programs, and peers. A presentation from Sean Clark, national director of Veterans Justice Programs within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), will discuss the comprehensive and preventative approach and initiatives of both the Veteran’s Justice Outreach program serving Veterans interfacing at the first intercept of the criminal justice system and programs targeting re-entry into communities after long-term incarceration.

The Military Life Cycle: Understanding and Working with Veterans and their Families

Maryland's Commitment to Veterans will be hosting a FREE virtual training event entitled "The Military Life Cycle: Understanding and Working with Veterans and their Families".  This training will be conducted by the Center for Deployment Psychology.  Participants will earn 6.5 CEUs (Social Workers/Psychologists/Counselors) upon completion of the full day of training.

Department of Defense’s Online Survivor Benefits Report

This no-cost webinar will discuss the details of the Online Survivor Benefits Report and provide information for surviving family members and service providers on how to access and use it. The OSBR is interactive and available for survivors of all service members who have died on active duty. The reports display all current and estimated future benefits and allow survivors to input "what if" scenarios.
