Cohen Military Family Clinic for a free "Know Your Rights Information Session & Discharge Upgrade and Medical Retirement Clinic" on Wednesday, December 4th at Easterseals in Silver Spring, MD. Know Your Rights Information Session: 9:00am-10:00am. Meet With an Attorney: 10:00am-4:30pm. In person and teleconference appointments available.

Wills for Heroes Event November 16

On Saturday, November 16th, lawyers will be at the American Legion, 6900 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, MD conducting the Wills for Heroes program for veterans and their spouses/domestic partners. Volunteer lawyers will be available for appointments starting at 10:30 AM and ending at 3:30 PM. Each appointment will last approximately one (1) hour and at the conclusion you will have a notarized legal document to take home with you.  Appointments required.

Community Assistance Panel (CAP) Meetings

Were you or someone you know at Camp Lejuene between 1953 and 1987? Attend the 2019 CAP Meeting in person or online to learn about health studies and other work done by ATSDR at Camp Lejeune. Hear from subject matter experts about ongoing scientific research and recent findings. Learn about public health assessments and health study updates. Participate in the public forum for affected Marines, military service members, veterans, family members, and concerned citizens-ask questions, share concerns, and learn more. Saturday September 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Hilton Crystal City.

On Thursday, Sept 12th (9:30am - 3:30pm) @ 441 4th St NW - Suite #707N, MOVA is hosting the National Veterans Legal Services Program  DD-214 Upgrade Review and Medical Retirement Legal Clinic, conducted by licensed attorneys.  If you have questions about your discharge status or whether you qualify for medical retirement, come out and join us.

Simple Will and Power of Attorney Clinic

The Bar Association for Frederick County, Maryland Legal Aid and Maryland Volunteer Lawyer Services are collaborating for an event to assist clients with the completion of their Financial Powers of Attorney and Simple Last Will and Testaments. Talk to an attorney for free who can help you with your issues including veteran benefits, military discharge upgrade matters, family law and more. Open to veterans and military families. Appointments are required.

The Veterans Consortium offers free legal assistance through their Military Discharge Upgrade Clinics. Free representation for veterans with Other Than Honorable discharges related to PTSD, TBI or similar mental health conditions.

Prince George's County Office of Veteran Affairs and Lawyers Serving Warriors present "Know Your Rights Information Session and Discharge Upgrade Clinic: on May 17 from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Attend an informational session on corrections of military records and upgrading less than fully honorable discharges followed by individual consultations with attorneys. Walk ins welcome.
