To help meet your wellness needs, the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation has a unique program, Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies, FREE-of-charge to qualified veterans. Eligible veterans receive a free year of coaching and access to fitness facilities courtesy of Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation.
Horses Help Heroes and Great Escape Stables will be holding an affordable family fun event and fundraiser on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 17620 Central Avenue in Bowie, MD. You and your family are invited to enjoy pony rides, arts and crafts, grooming, and treats for the horses. The gracious hosts are requesting a modest donation of $10/child of non-military or veteran families and $5/child of military and veteran families.
The USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir will be holding a De-Stress Before the Holidays workshop on Monday, December 17 from 11 am - 1 pm featuring mindfulness & EFT techniques. Saturday, November 17, 2018, lawyers will be at the American Legion, 6900 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770, conducting the Wills for Heroes program for veterans and their spouses/domestic partners. Volunteer lawyers will be available for one (1) hour appointments starting at 10:30 am and ending at 3:30 pm. At the conclusion, attendees will have notarized legal documents to take home with them.

On Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM, you'll have the opportunity to learn about the USO, the art of networking, create and practice your elevator pitch and speed network with other military spouses, employers, organizations, and community leaders. All participants will walk away meeting new friends, contacts, and professionals.
