This event, open to the public, in partnership with Combat Paper NJ and Warrior Writers, local Service Members in the DC area participated in a week long workshop at the USO Warrior and Family Center at Fort Belvoir. During the workshop, participants will be guided by veteran artists through the process of transforming military uniforms into handmade “Combat Paper.” Through writing and art workshops, participants narrate their individual military experiences through original works of art and writing, using these modalities to bridge the gap between the military and civilian communities.
