ALIVE! (ALexandrians InVolved Ecumenically) provides Alexandria, Virginia residents in need with shelter; low-cost early childhood education and childcare; financial help for rent, utilities, medical care and other critical needs; emergency food; and deliveries of donated furniture and housewares. ALIVE! works with volunteers from over 40 religious congregations and the community to assist neighbors in emergency situations and with long-term needs. Persons must receive a referral from their case manager or spiritual advisor. Those interested in the Child Development Program should contact 703-548-9255.
