At the Shepherd’s Center of Annandale-Springfield, we are helping senior adults (over the age of 50) to continue to live independently by providing services such as transportation for medical appointments during the week and to shopping and banking on weekends. All of these are done by volunteers in the community. Please join us in this effort and really make a difference in the life of someone in your community.

Volunteer opportunities:

Drivers

Drivers are wanted to take seniors to medical appointments. If you have some time and a car, this is a great chance to make a real difference in someone’s life. Drive only when and as often as your schedule will allow, but we do ask our drivers to strive to take a minimum of at least one ride per month.

Handy Helpers Program

We need helpers that can provide seniors with minor repairs and services in their homes that are they are unable to take care of themselves.

Office Help

We need office volunteers to help with answering telephones, community outreach, locating speakers, data entry into Word and Excel.
