Veterans Assistance and Nutrition Program

Blue Star Families of the National Capital Region is pleased to launch the Veterans Assistance and Nutrition (VAN) program with EveryMind’s ServingTogether. The VAN program will help address food insecurity needs of veterans and their families in the National Capital Region. The VAN program will be accepting intake referrals from veterans, spouses of veterans, or direct caregivers of veterans, beginning Monday, February 22nd. Qualified applicants will receive a $100 Safeway gift card to purchase needed food items.

EveryMind’s ServingTogether Prepares to Launch Into Central Maryland

Thanks to the support of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, EveryMind’s ServingTogether is pleased to announce that our care-coordination services and unique collaborative model are expanding into Baltimore and the Central Maryland region this Spring. In preparation for our launch into Central Maryland - including Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Harford County, and Howard County – EveryMind will host a virtual strategy session on March 9th led by ServingTogether's new Program Manager, Katie Kilby.

Understanding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Defense Communities

ADC, with support from Booz Allen Hamilton, conducted a national survey between December 2, 2020 and January 8, 2021 to better understand the state of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in America’s defense communities. Join them on Tuesday, March 2 at 11 a.m. EST for an overview of the report, a discussion of findings, and opportunities for addressing DEI issues in communities.
