Discharge Upgrade & Medical Retirement Clinic

On Thursday, May 9th (9am - 3pm) @ 441 4th St NW - Suite #707N, the DC Mayor's Office of Veterans Affiars (MOVA) is hosting the National Veterans Legal Services Program DD-214 Upgrade Review and Medical Retirement Legal Clinic, conducted by licensed attorneys. If you have questions about your discharge status or whether you qualify for medical retirement, come out to this event. Appointments available and walk-ins welcome.

Year of the Veteran Celebration and Resource Fair

Monday, April 8th 4:00-8:00 PM Howard Community College. Join Howard County Office of Veterans and Military Families in celebrating The Year of the Veteran proclamation by our MD Governor with refreshments, music by Voice of Vets, professional attire/suit giveway, and more than 40 government agencies, nonprofits and veteran service organizations that provide services or programs for our veterans and military families. Premier Health Express Urgent Care, an authorized Warrior Centric Health Clinic, will provide medical and dental screenings. The event is FREE and open to the public.

Continuum of Care for Justice-Involved Veterans in DC

This event will feature a panel of local agency representatives who will provide an overview of available resources along the continuum of care for veterans who are involved in the District's criminal justice system. Tuesday, March 26 from 2:30-4:00 PM. Registration is required.

Expungement Information Session

The Loudoun Reentry Advisory Council and Legal Services of Northern Virginia are holding a free Expungement Information Session on February 21st from 10 AM to 12 PM. Open to everyone facing barriers to getting a job or career advancement because of their criminal charges. Registration is required. Deadline to register: February 15th.

One-Day Free Veterans Legal and Benefits Clinic

The Steven A Cohen Military Family Clinic and the Veterans Consortium ProBono Program are offering a free one day veterans legal clinic on Wednesday, November 28th from 10AM to 6PM. Talk to an attorney for free on a variety of issues to include Veteran Benefits, Disability/Benefits Claims and Landlord/Tenant Law. Appointments are required.

Wills for Heroes Event in Greenbelt, MD on November 17th

Saturday, November 17, 2018, lawyers will be at the American Legion, 6900 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, MD 20770, conducting the Wills for Heroes program for veterans and their spouses/domestic partners. Volunteer lawyers will be available for one (1) hour appointments starting at 10:30 am and ending at 3:30 pm. At the conclusion, attendees will have notarized legal documents to take home with them.
