VA Home Loan Workshop

USO Pathfinder and Millie are offering a free VA Home Loan Workshop on Tuesday, September 10th from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM at the USO Warrior and Family Center Fort Belvoir. This is an event for transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses preparing for their next opportunity. Registration is recommended.

EFT, HeartMath & Mindfullness with the USO

Join the USO Warrior & Family Center at Ft. Belvoir on Tuesday, July 2nd from 6:00-8:00pm to learn short, effective Mindfullness, HearthMath & EFT practice; three powerful techniques proven to remove stress. Art and MindBody Skills at The Cohen Clinic

On June 22nd the Steven A Cohen Military and Family Clinic is offering two free workshops to military, veterans and their families. Join them for Mind-Body Skills Workshop facilitated by the American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces, 6/22 from 9:00-10:00am and Art with Heart Workshop, 6/22 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Career Transition Education thru VEI Vetworking

Launched in 2013, the NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative (VEI) connects Veterans and military spouses to employment opportunities and provides support to member companies in their efforts to recruit, hire, train and retain qualified Veteran and military spouse employees. The next cohort of the VEI Vetworking for Military, Veterans and Spouses will be on May 23 and May 30th. The program is broken down into two sessions of three hours each. Each session runs from 5-8 pm and dinner is provided. There is a maximum of 25 per cohort and once signed up you must commit to attending both sessions. Registration is open now.

Career Planning & Coaching for Transitioning Service Members

Take the step you need to build a successful civilian career. Military Corps Career Connect (C3) provide career planning, coaching and preparation to assist in a successful career transition. Open to Maryland transitioning service members, Maryland Veterans and active duty spouses.

Babies on the Homefront Workshop

Caregiving While Caring for Your Young Child. Are you a parent or guardian caring for a baby or toddler? The VA Caregiver Support Line and ZERO TO THREE have collaborated to present a workshop in support of Military and Veteran Families who are also caring for the needs of young children. This workshop by ZERO TO THREE will provide tools and resources to support you as a parent, help you understand your child’s development, and appreciate what your child is trying to tell you in those oh-so challenging moments. Join us in this partnership as we support you in balancing the needs of your family while also caring for the blossoming developments of your “Babies on the Home front!” This online webinar will take place on Thursday, April 4th at 7:00pm. The workshop is free but registration is required. There is a phone in option for those unable to be online at the time of the webinar.
