DESCRIPTION:RECOGNIZING THE EFFECTS OF SECONDARY TRAUMATIC STRESS & BURNOUT \non Service Providers\, Clinicians & Caregivers Assisting the Military & Veteran Population\n\n\nTreating and supporting the brave men and women who have served our country can be extremely satisfying\, and most individuals who choose this line of work find it to be very rewarding. \n\nNevertheless\, over time\, working with the military and veteran population — particularly with those who have endured traumatic experiences — can become increasingly stressful and can at times lead to some common burdening reactions. DESCRIPTION:Excited to announce that we will be hosted by the American Legion Dyer-Gunnell Post 180 in Vienna for our next meeting. There is plenty of parking at the upper level (labeled Hall Parking).\n\nHireMilitary.us  \nAdam Martinez\, with HireMilitary.us\, owned by TENOVA LLC\, will be hosting us this meeting and will be speaking more about his work in the National Capital Region. HireMilitary.us is more than just a web-based platform that connects employers that want to conduct individual internships under the DoD Skillbridge and Career Skills Programs (CSP) with Service Members that are approved to do so. They are a nation-wide network of passionate veteran and industry leaders with one goal in mind: to decrease both veteran unemployment and veteran underemployment by bringing employers and transitioning service members together. \nAdam also serves as the Adjutant for American Legion Dyer-Gunnell Post 180in Vienna\, VA and is looking to find more ways to support veterans with employment opportunities in the region. He will also be speaking more to the work they are looking to do this year to help in this effort. \nMVLE \nJoanne Orchant Aceto\, Senior Director of Employment Services with MVLE will be in attendance to speak more about their work assisting veterans in the region. \nMVLE is Working with Purpose to employ and support individuals living with disabilities. Since 1971 MVLE has believed in and created \n\nOpportunities for individual with disabilities to find their independence through community-based social activities\, supported employment\, and customized skills training\nStrong business and community partnerships;\nRelationships with government and affiliate agencies;\nA competitive and reliable workforce to build inclusion in our community.\n\nMVLE has a history of successfully providing a broad range of services that cater to the diverse needs of our individuals through specialized training and services to foster their personal and professional growth.  Together\, we work to accomplish these goals by utilizing an extensive network of partners. \n\n\nServingTogether’s hosts informal meetings with community partners called Collaboratives.
