Military service can present challenges in marriages including financial, long separation, multiple deployments and more. These challenges can add stress to family and relationship. Join the DC VA Medical Center for a Two-Day couples workshop where you will learn about emotional understanding and behaviors that nurture and sustain healthy relationships and loving families. September 14 and 15th from 8:30am - 5:00pm at the DC Vet Center. Registration is required. Open to all veterans and their partners.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2019. EveryMind is proud to host Run for EveryMind again this year at Rockville Town Center. We host this event every year because our mission is to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness and reduce the stigma that is often associated with mental health challenges. Through Run for EveryMind, we strive to educate the community while providing an opportunity to engage in a positive, healthy activity that promotes good mental and physical health. Please join us at the 5K Run or 3K Walk. Registration is required.

HillVets Lead Program Accepting Applications

HillVets LEAD. the premier public policy and leadership program for veterans in the United States is looking for dedicated individuals looking to spend up to 3 hours a week for 12 weeks improving their skills alongside some of our Nation’s most sought after leaders. Individuals will join a lifelong “fireteam” of 6 who will push each other to success.  The program is accepting applications for participation now thru August 30, 2019.

AARP, Elizabeth Dole Foundation, and U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation - Hiring Our Heroes invite you to a special event to learn more about how business leaders can combat the employment challenges military caregivers face in their own workplaces. Volunteers Needed for Capital Caring

The Capital Caring Volunteer Team is looking for volunteers to visit military service members who are receiving hospice services and conduct small, informal ceremonies for them.
