New Politics Leadership Academy Enrolling for 5 Week Session

New Politics Leadership Academy, a nonpartisan non-profit organization that offers leadership development program for veterans is now enrolling for their Washington DC based program, Answering The Call. Answering the Call is an opportunity for service alumni to reflect on who they are as leaders and if they feel called to political service. Applications are currently open through April 8th.

NAMI Homefront Now Offered Online!

NAMI Homefront is a class for families, caregivers and friends of military service members and veterans with mental health conditions. The course is designed specifically to help these families understand those challenges and improve their ability to support their service member or veteran. Online modules of the courses are now being offered. Registration is now open form the April 15th course.

Walking Together, a Retreat for Warriors & Caregivers

Walking Together, a Retreat for Warriors and Caregivers is open to all veterans, active duty and reserve military, spouses, and caregivers. During the walk participants will reflect on spiritual and personal life journeys. Saturday, March 30 from 9:30am - 2:00pm in Washington DC. This workshop will be led by Susan Mitchell, a member of the Ministry team and a lay chaplain who previously led our veterans' writing workshops on the Lament Psalms during the Spring and Fall of 2018. Continuum of Care for Justice-Involved Veterans in DC

This event will feature a panel of local agency representatives who will provide an overview of available resources along the continuum of care for veterans who are involved in the District's criminal justice system. Tuesday, March 26 from 2:30-4:00 PM. Registration is required.
