Volunteers Needed to Help Address Homelessness

EveryMind’s Homeless Outreach team is partnering with Montgomery County to complete the Up-County Point in Time (PIT) Homeless Count. This is a one night event on January 23, 2019 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Over 40 volunteers are needed to make it successful. Consider spending a few hours to help address homelessness in Montgomery County. The results of the Count helps determine the level of services the County needs to provide to support our community’s most vulnerable members.

2019 NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo

We are excited to let you know that ServingTogether and EveryMind will be participating in the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo on January 12 and 13, 2019 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.  Join us for this annual event that includes a wealth of community resources and activities for the entire family. While there, make sure you stop by the EveryMind table and learn about all of our programs and services designed to improve and strengthen the mental wellness of all we serve.  See you there!

Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) will be hosting a Epic Storytelling Workshop with Dion Flynn in January at Capitol Post. You can either choose Saturday, January 19 and Sunday, January 20, sessions are held from 10 am - 4 pm. Must complete an application to attend.

Winter Coat Drive for Veterans

The Steven A Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals is collecting gently worn coats for veterans and their families. Donations will be accepted November 13 thru January 31st. Drop off at Easterseals, 1420 Spring Street, Silver Spring.

Prince George’s County Offers Veterans Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies

We recognize the challenges faced by veterans returning home with a disability. To help meet your wellness needs, the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation has a unique program, Healthy Minds Healthy Bodies, FREE-of-charge to qualified veterans. Eligible veterans receive a free year of coaching and access to fitness facilities courtesy of Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Join Operation Gratitude in Preparing 25,000 Care Pouches

Operation Gratitude in partnership with our BRIDGE Council will be assembling 25,000 Operation Gratitude Care Pouches that will be delivered to Law Enforcement Officers, Firefighters and National Guardsmen serving in our nation’s capital and in more than a dozen other cities across America. Volunteers needed! Thursday, January 17 from 11 am - 1 pm at the DC Armory.

Affordable Family Fun and Fundraiser for Horses Help Heroes in Prince George’s County

Horses Help Heroes and Great Escape Stables will be holding an affordable family fun event and fundraiser on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at 17620 Central Avenue in Bowie, MD. You and your family are invited to enjoy pony rides, arts and crafts, grooming, and treats for the horses. The gracious hosts are requesting a modest donation of $10/child of non-military or veteran families and $5/child of military and veteran families.
