Boots to Business Reboot Classes in Frederick Dec 12th & 13th

This two-day in-person course is being offered in Frederick MD on December 12 & 13. This Boots to Business Reboot course is focused on Agribusiness and provides participants with an overview of business fundamentals, while introducing techniques for evaluating the feasibility of business concepts. Reboot is open to all members of the military community (this includes all-era Veterans, active duty, National Guard and Reserve, and military spouses and family members).

VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Montgomery County

The Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Montgomery County, MD is up and running. Please consider having your health care provided there, Effective January 6, 2019 Ride on Bus will run from the Shady Grove and Rockville Metro Stations to the clinic every 30 minutes from 6 am until 8:30 pm. This is a brand new, state of the art facility and there is plenty of ample free on-site parking.

Veterans Workshop Hosted by Congressman Anthony G. Brown

This workshop is designed to provide veterans with information and resources available at the federal, state and local level. We will have representatives from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs on hand to share information about their programs and services. Monday, December 3rd from 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM at Prince George's Community College - Largo Student Center.

ABC’s of Small Business Ownership – Jan 17

Wondering how to start your own business after you transition from Active Duty service? Unsure what it takes to be an entrepreneur? Where do you find funding? In partnership with the Veterans Business Outreach Center, the USO is hosting a seminar on the ABC's of Small Business Ownership. These topics and others will be addressed. Thursday, January 17, 6:30-8:30 pm, USO Fort Belvoir.

Operation Tohidu Veteran Retreat

Melwood Veterans Services is excited to announce the Operation Tohidu® schedule for the first half of 2019.  This is a program for men and women struggling with post-traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, traumatic brain injury, or other service-related issues such as military sexual trauma.
