Bunker Brews Tyke Night – July 18

Bunker Labs welcomes you to their monthly ‘Bunker Brews’ Networking Event Wednesday, July 18 from 4 -6 pm at Scramble in Alexandria, VA. This month they will be having a 'Tyke Night' at Scramble Indoor Play. The American Red Cross has Military and Veteran Caregiver Network (MVCN) offers caregivers access to the highest quality peer support programs and services– online and in their communities– through collaboration with partner organizations, agencies and groups that share a commitment to reducing caregiver isolation.

Martinsburg VA Mental Health Summit

This year's Martinsburg VA Medial Center Mental Health Summit will take place in Shepherdstown, WV on Tuesday, August 21 from 8:30am - 3:30pm. This is a free event and open to the public. RSVP required. There is also table space available to organizations who would like to display program information at the event.

VetsRide is Now Available in DC

The Mayor’s Office on Veterans Affairs ("MOVA") is launching a pilot transportation program for District of Columbia veterans with the Department of For-Hire Vehicles. Program eligibility is restricted to veteran residents of Washington DC with an annual income of less than $30,000. Documentation evidencing eligibility may be requested by MOVA. The purpose of this program is to ensure that this population has access to the medical, educational, employment and other opportunities that they require.

AbleVets is hosting a Suit Drive to support Veterans and military spouses during their transition to the civilian workforce. Now through July 20, we are collecting gently used professional clothing to be collected at various locations in Northern Virginia and the National Capital Region.

Breaking the Silence Screening in DC

An Oral History of Oregon's LGBTQ Veterans and Service Members. A special screening of this film will be held in the Nation's Capital on Wednesday, July 18th at 7pm. Presented together in partnership by the Human Rights Campaign, the D.C. Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs, and the D.C. Metropolitan Police.
