Veterans Affairs Twitter Town Hall

Make the Connection Twitter Town Hall has been rescheduled for Wednesday, June 22, 2016, beginning at 7 p.m. EST. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (@DeptVetAffairs) and Mental Health America (@MentalHealthAm) will be tweeting for one hour and individuals and organizations can follow along and join in the conversation using the hashtag #Step4ward.

Justice Involved Veteran Workshop

On July 12th Serving Together is hosting a Justice Involved Veterans workshop for our community partners. Come hear from Department of Veterans Affairs, American Bar Association, and Justice for Vets and learn about their programs and clinics. If interested email Julie Riggs at jriggs@mhamc.org. ASAP Veteran Open Mic Night

The next open mic with Armed Services Arts Partnership and Dog Tag Bakery will feature military-affiliated writers, poets, and storytellers, and is scheduled for 7PM on Thursday, June 23rd at Dog Tag Bakery (3206 Grace Street Northwest, Washington, DC). General admission is $10, will be limited to the first 55 guests who purchase tickets.

Motown Miracles Free Concert

The Motown Miracles have partnered with the Department of Veterans Affairs on a nationwide tour to show their appreciation of America’s veterans and those who currently serve in the armed forces. Please join them in saying thank you to America's heroes on July 2, 2016 at 6:00pm at the Warner Theatre.
