Northern Virginia Technology Council is pleased to announce a new program under the Veteran Employment Initiative (VEI) for 2017- Uncommon Coders. Northern Virginia Community College has partnered with the NVTC Veteran Employment Initiative to provide a no-cost course teaching the Java programming language to a cohort of up to 20 Veterans and military/Veteran spouses.

Loudoun County Department of Family Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Veteran Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will work with Veterans to screen their needs for employment, emergency services, housing, health care, education, mental health and family support. The position will provide information and referral services to Veterans regarding available resources in the community to ensure Veterans receive the most comprehensive services available to address their current issues and concerns.
