• VEI VETWORKING Program – March 29 & April 5

    The Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Veteran Employment Initiative offers a VETWORKING program which provides Veteran and military spouse jobseekers with career transition education and personal growth experiences to succeed in seeking civilian employment. The next session will be held on March 29 & April 5 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm for each session at The MITRE Corporation at 1550 Westbranch Dr. McLean, VA.

  • Veterans and Spouses receive priority for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

    Eligible veterans and their spouses will receive priority for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Services, provided through the SkillSource Group, Inc. and its multiple partners. Local veterans can receive individualized career counseling, including training, job search assistance and small business development. Services are designed to help build the skills employers are looking for.

  • Loudoun County hiring for Veteran Services Coordinator

    Loudoun County Department of Family Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Veteran Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will work with Veterans to screen their needs for employment, emergency services, housing, health care, education, mental health and family support. The position will provide information and referral services to Veterans regarding available resources in the community to ensure Veterans receive the most comprehensive services available to address their current issues and concerns.

  • Washington DC Hiring Expo with the Washington Wizards

    U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Hiring our Heroes will be holding a Military Hiring Fair and Networking Reception for service members, veterans, and military spouses will take place on March 14 & 15.

    The American Legion 2017 Winter Conference will include an Employment Forum on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 9 am – 4 pm at The Washington Hilton at 1919 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20009.

  • JobZone Job Fair Springfield, VA – Feb 16

    JobZone will be hosting a job fair on Thursday, February 16 from 10 am – 2 pm at American Legion Post 176 in Springfield, VA. 10 am to 12 pm will be reserved for military, veterans and their families.

  • Dog Tag Bakery Fellowship Program

    The Dog Tag Inc. Fellowship works in partnership with Georgetown University to deliver a professional development program designed to prepare military veterans with service connected disabilities, spouses and caregivers to find success as they transition into the civilian workforce. This five month program will assist in translating military experience to workplace skills and provide tools to prepare for interviews and apply for jobs. They are accepting applications now for their Summer 2017 class. Application deadline: April 19, 2017

    ‘Operation 500’ Veterans Resource Fair Monday, January 9, 2017, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Dave and Busters, Capitol Heights, MD.

  • Military Hiring Fair – January 6

    Military Hiring Fair on Friday, January 6 from 8:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washinginton, D.C. Open to military service members, guard, reservists, veterans and military spouses. Free employment workshop for job seekers will be held at 8:30 am featuring resume building, networking and interview tips.

  • Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Employer Training Day – Fairfax

    The Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program will host a FREE employer training day for companies interested in learning why and how to hire Veterans. The event will be held on Wednesday, January 25 from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm at ICF International in Fairfax, VA.
