Project Horse Empowerment Center

Project Horse Empowerment Center

The Warrior Herd Veterans program, by Project Horse, is currently forming Groups for Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy & Psychoeducation services. Through an Adaptive Sports grant awarded by the federal Department of Veterans Affairs, we are offering face-to-face, in person non-riding therapy groups for disabled Veterans and disabled members of the Armed Forces. The focus of our program is to work with individuals, in a group setting, on mental health issues related to their military experience, using a non-riding approach with the horses that encourages self-exploration, skill building and self-efficacy.
