George C Marshall High School Veterans Day Field of Honor
On Nov 9 - 13th, George C. Marshall High School's Class of 2019 will celebrate the Veterans Day holiday by creating a Field of Honor in front of the high school along Route 7. We invite you to support the Field of Honor and the class of 2019 by sponsoring a flag(s) to honor the men and women who have served in the U.S. military. For each flag sold, GCM will make a donation to ServingTogether and can send an e-card to the family or the honoree to let them know they have been honored with a photo of the Field of Honor.
Job Fair – Winchester, VA – Oct 23
VFW Post 2123 and the VEC have joined together to put on a job fair on October 23rd at the National Guard Armory, 181 Pendleton Drive, Winchester VA from 10 AM to 4 PM. Veterans are encouraged to attend.

Local Virginia Breweries Team Up to Honor Vets
Local Fairfax County breweries, led by Fair Winds Brewing Company, are sponsoring a "Buy a Vet a Beer" campaign that will offer a "free beer" on Veteran's Day to honor those that have served our country.

Annual Pathways to Wellness Conference – Oct 20
The annual Pathways to Wellness Conference Friday, October 20 from 8:30 am - 2:30 pm at Fairfax Government Center offers workshops on mental health resiliency and wellness for NOVA's residents seeking mental health care, as well as the families and friends who love and support them. This year's theme - #ThisIsUs encourages self-acceptance as self-care, and our workshops will engage creativity as one aspect of therapeutic recovery. Registration is required. Tickets are $30 and include lunch. Scholarships are available on a limited basis.

Dog Tag Inc Fellowship Program Applications Being Accepted
The Dog Tag Inc. Fellowship works in partnership with Georgetown University to deliver a professional development program designed to prepare military veterans with service connected disabilities, spouses and caregivers to find success as they transition into the civilian workforce. Applications for the January 2018 fellowship program are being accepted now through October 18th.
