Prince George’s County Veterans Stand Down Nov 4
On Saturday, November 2nd Prince George's County will hold a Veterans Stand Down and Homeless Resource Day event. This event is intended for Prince George's County Veterans and persons who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The event will be held from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Wayne K. Curry Sports & Learning Complex in Landover, MD.
Free Dental Care for Veterans
On Monday, November 11th, Rockville Dental Arts if offering free dental care for veterans. They will provide free cleanings, fillings, extractions and root canals. Please call ahead to schedule an appointment. A copy of your DD214 is required.
Veterans Path to Entrepreneurial Success
The Loudoun Office of Economic Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration is holding a free forum to assist Loudoun County Veteran Entrepreneurs on 7 Nov 19, 0800-1000 at the The Bush Tabernacle, 250 S. Nursery Ave, Purcellville, VA. Veteans, Reserves, National Guard, active duty and family members are invited to hear directly from successful veteran-owned small businesses. Registration is requested.
Veterans Resource Fair Nov 7
Join the Disabled Veterans National Foundation on Thursday November 7th from 9:30am - 2:30pm for a Veterans Resource Fair. Employment Services, Resource Booths, Free Food, Comfort Kits, Gift Card and more will be distributed. This event is being held at the Silver Spring Civic Building, 1 Veterans Place.
Art Exhibit: Exploring Identity with Women Veterans
Join the Hylton Performing Arts Center for an exhibition of local women veteran art. The exhibition features the work of seven women who served during the Vietnam War-era through post 9/11-era and in several branches of the military. Thursday, November 7th from 6:00-8:00 PM. RSVP by November 4th.

Georgetown University Military Connected Admissions Fair
Service members, Reservists, Veterans, Military Spouses, and Families, and Military-Connected Education Counselors are cordially invited to the Military-Connected Admissions Fair and Reception at Georgetown University on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:30-8:00PM. At the event you can meet with academic school admissions offices to learn more about Georgetown's programs and with members of the Veterans Office to learn more about resources to military-connected students. This is a free event . Registration is requested.

Advocacy in Military Psychology Summit
The society for Military Psychology (Div.19 of the APA) and DCPA are sponsoring a two day summit on advocacy and Mil/Psych to be held at The Catholic University of America. Day one, will include panel presentations focusing upon Suicide prevention, Veteran transitions,Trauma, Moral injury,Leadership and additional topics designed to increase awareness of the vital role psychology plays in the Military. On Day two multiple community organizations will provide an overview of their work in advocating for Military and veteran issues. It is the hope that this summit will enhance awareness and increase learning of how we may best serve our active duty military and veterans. November 6th (7:30-5:00) and November 7th (8:00-3:00) at Catholic University, Washington DC. In Person and Webinar: Military, veterans, and spouses (FREE). Registration is required.
