DC Veterans Roundtable

This event aims to connect the District's veterans with information, resources, and organizations that may be beneficial to a successful military transition. The event consists of an informal discussion that revolves around varying topics including housing, employment, healthcare, and legal services. Upon the conclusion of the discussion, all resource providers in attendance offer feedback on any topics discussed or how they can assist the veteran or their family in a positive capacity.

This webinar will discuss taxes for small businesses and provide insight on proposed tax changes for 2021 and how they may affect your business. This workshop takes place on November 18 and is open to all Project Opportunity Graduates, Veteran and Military Spouse entrepreneurs.

DC Metro Transitions Transition Events and Workshops

The Fort Belvoir SRU Command Team and its Transition Coordinators will be hosting a Career & Education Oktober Fall Fest on 30 October 2020 as part of a day full of activities. Organizations, including USO Transition team: Maura, Sarah, Jenn, and Jess will be coming out to Ft Belvoir on that day armed with Internships, Apprenticeships, Employment, and Educational opportunities for our Soldiers in Transition and their Military Spouses. 

The Military Life Cycle: Understanding and Working with Veterans and their Families

Maryland's Commitment to Veterans will be hosting a FREE virtual training event entitled "The Military Life Cycle: Understanding and Working with Veterans and their Families".  This training will be conducted by the Center for Deployment Psychology.  Participants will earn 6.5 CEUs (Social Workers/Psychologists/Counselors) upon completion of the full day of training.  

Spook-tacular Halloween Party

Come have a spooky good time with us and our friends from the CVMA 22-5! It is a free event welcome to ghouls and monsters of all ages! All donations from the night go towards Christmas presents for kids of veterans in need. Free for all ages. 

2020 Senior Veterans Grab and Go Celebration

M-NCPPC, Department of Parks and Recreation, Prince George’s County is honoring our Prince George’s County senior veterans (ages 60 & better) in a special, social-distanced Grab and Go meal celebration. Senior veterans are welcome to drive through and receive a hot catered meal for two and a small gift of appreciation. Veterans will be greeted by cheering staff, event sponsors, the Maryland Army National Guard, and patriotic music! Please note: This event is only for veterans (ages 60 & older) who reside in Prince George’s County.
