Chief Program Officer
The Chief Program Officer (CPO) will be a core member of Mental Health Association’s (MHA) senior leadership team, and will report to the CEO. The successful candidate must be passionate about the importance of mental wellness, and committed to maintaining, enhancing and growing MHA’s programmatic excellence.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the strategic direction, administration, supervision and evaluation of all of MHA’s programs and services.
- Develop an annual strategic and operating plan for MHA’s programs and services.
- Continually build innovation and entrepreneurship into existing programs and services.
- Monitor local, regional, and national mental health trends and then address these issues through existing MHA services and/or the development of new programs and services.
- Support organization’s mental health advocacy efforts
- Represent MHA on various community task forces, committees and coalitions.
- Build and support partnerships with external organizations and community stakeholders to strengthen the array of MHA’s services to most effectively meet the mental health needs of individuals and the overall well-being of the community.
The CPO oversees all employees involved in MHA’s programmatic work and directly supervises five staff including Division Directors and the Senior Clinical Supervisor.
We are seeking an individual with proven leadership, vision, and management experience, preferably within a multi-service agency at multiple sites, who can successfully lead, build, and support the capabilities of a talented, diverse, and committed team. Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience with a proven track record of success. Master’s Degree in a relevant field (nonprofit management, social work, psychology, public health), or equivalent experience. Clinical licensure is preferred.
