Veteran Networking Breakfast – Jan 24

This networking event is a forum for military Veterans in business and those who support them, or wish to team with them, to meet and connect. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to network with other Veterans committed to success in business.

Although the focus of ORP is on the connections made between and with Veterans, they do have a presentation each month. This month they have Gloria Larkin as the guest speaker.  Gloria is the president of TargetGov, which focuses on government procurement and related business development and marketing services. Clients have won more than $3.5 billion in federal contracts as a direct result of TargetGov’s services. Gloria is a frequent speaker and author on business development issues for government contractors. One of her books, “The Basic Guide to Government Contracting,” is in its fourth printing.

Gloria will share her years of experience in discussing how to get in the door and set a meeting to jump start work with the government. Topics she will discuss are: Identifying The Real Decision Makers, the Purpose of this Decision Maker Meeting, Crafting the Meeting Request, the Process Involved in the Meeting Request, Format of the Ideal Decision Maker Meeting and The Five Killer Mistakes to Avoid Regarding Decision Makers Meetings.  I have heard her give this presentation before and I promise that if you have any interest in government contracting, you will find value in this presentation.
