Takoma Park Independence Day Parade Seeking Veteran Participants

4th of July Parade

 

Takoma Park’s annual Independence Day Celebration is one of our community’s longest running patriotic traditions (celebrating our 128th anniversary this year!) Each year, the 4th of July begins with a parade through downtown Takoma Park.  The parade begins at 10am and ends at around 11:30am. The parade route is approximately 2 miles long. Participating groups can be of any size, may bring signs or floats, and can walk, drive, or bike the parade route.

The Takoma Park Independence Day Committee is eager to bring a greater representation of the veterans community into the parade. If you or an organization you are a part of may be interested in participating, we would love to have you! You can sign up to participate in the parade online here.
