OAR Monthly Hiring Event – Jan 23

If you have difficulty finding employment due to misdemeanor and/or felony convictions, OAR conducts a monthly Hiring Event on the fourth Tuesday of each month (excluding December).

• Goodwill:  Goodwill has multiple vacancies in Fairfax, Manassas, and the surrounding areas and are looking to fill various retail, merchandising, and processing positions.  Please first visit the webpage https://www.dcgoodwill.org/employment/careers/ to view and apply for positions.  Once completed, you will be able to meet and discuss employment opportunities with a Retail Recruiter/Human Resources representative from Goodwill on the 23^th of January at the OAR office location.
• VA Tire & Auto: VA Tire is hiring for many vacancies and have 13 different locations in the Northern Virginia area.  They look to fill General Service positions (which would entail changing/rotating tires, oil) in addition to Counter and Sales positions.  Experience is preferred though not required.  What is required for all positions is a valid driver’s license and no more than 15 points on your driving record.  Clients are encouraged to apply online first at https://vatire.com/careers/ and search for optimal location/position or print out a paper application bring it with them to event.  Immediate employment consideration will be given to those who apply and attend.
