#InvestInChangeSupport Mental Wellness in Our CommunityAccording to national data, older adults account for 20% of the nation’s death by suicide andfor 15-to 24-year-olds, it is the second leading case of death with Hispanics, Asian-Americans, and African-Americans at the greatest risk.EveryMind is a core center for the National Suicide Prevention Lifelineand one of only two text and chat enabled centers in the state of Maryland.In July 2022, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline’s national new 9-8-8 number will be in effect and EveryMind is now preparing to meet the anticipated tripling call volume by increasing staff and building up infrastructure.
