Veterans and Military Spouses!

Check out this new and ground-breaking technology apprenticeship opportunity targeted to Veterans and military spouses at Alarm.com.  The NVTC Veterans Employment Initiative is a partner with the Northern Virginia Community College working under a GO Virginia grant on this program and it includes full pay and benefits from day 1- no experience is required for either position but candidates will be assessed for aptitude.  Note that the deadline for submissions is 1 December 2019.

Type of Apprentice Alarm.com is seeking:

Military Veteran, Transitioning Service Member and Military Spouse that are, committed, driven, and resourceful with natural curiosity and a passion for learning. Our curriculum and framework are designed for individuals with non-technical backgrounds looking to transition into technical careers. Type of Apprenticeships offered by Alarm.com:

The Test Analyst track will offer training in the Quality Engineering field. Test Analysts will be exposed to various testing methods related to hardware, software, and/or firmware during on-the-job training. The program will provide coursework and testing for CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security + certifications and an Intro to Python course.

The IT Analyst track will offer training within the Desktop Support function providing technical trouble-shooting and service to end users and supporting IT infrastructure. The program will provide coursework and testing for CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security + certifications.
