Join Hiring Our Heroes at the American Legion 2018 Winter Conference & Career Event for free workshop sessions focused on resume building, networking, interviewing, and financial literacy, followed by a networking lunch that will feature a panel discussion on employment topics and best practices.

WORKSHOPS
9 – 10:30 a.m. Resume Workshop
Taught by the American Legion, the resume workshop will focus on resume building, networking and interviewing tips. Immediately following the workshop, volunteer career coaches will help participants develop an elevator pitch, participate in a mock interview, and create a more effective resume.
10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Financial Literacy Workshop
Taught by the American Legion, this workshop will include tips on managing your money, creating a budget, tracking spending, paying down debt and saving for the future. Participants will be shown how to improve their credit scores, navigate finances, deal with expenses, establish a plan for emergencies, and build a working budget.
11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. Networking Lunch
During lunch, a panel discussion will focus on employment topics and best practices.
1 – 4 p.m. Hiring Fair
Connect directly with recruiters and hiring managers from local and national companies of all sizes.
