Dog Tag Bakery Fellowship Program
The Dog Tag Inc. Fellowship works in partnership with Georgetown University to create a professional development program designed to prepare military veterans with service connected disabilities, spouses and caregivers to find success as they transition into the civilian workforce. This five month program will assist in translating military experience to workplace skills and provide tools to prepare for interviews and apply for jobs.

Pilot Program for Service Dog Care
On August 18th, the Department of Veteran Affairs released a statement saying that they will be implementing a pilot program to determine if they will offer veterinary care for service dogs assisting veterans.

Veteran Open Mic Night
The Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP) and Dog Tag Bakery are excited to continue with their monthly open mic for veterans, service members, and military family members. The next open mic will exclusively feature comedians and musicians from the military community, and is scheduled for 7PM on Thursday, September 22nd at Dog Tag Bakery (3206 Grace Street Northwest, Washington, DC). General admission tickets are $10, will be limited to the first 60 guests who purchase tickets, and can be reserved at classy.org/dogtagasap.
Post 9/11 Veteran Assembly in Baltimore
On Wednesday August 31st there will be an assembly of post 9/11 era veterans in Baltimore City. There is no underlying motive other than to build unity among this generation of Veterans, highlight the work being done by you and your respective vet lead/oriented organizations in Maryland, and promote open communication among those who have been active in our community as well as those who have not.
‘Theater of War’ Production

Quantico Walk/Run at Work, Annual Health Fair & Retiree Day
Marine Corps Marathon, Semper Fit Health Promotion, & Retired Activities Office present 3 events, 1 great time! The Walk/Run at Work Annual Health Fair & Retiree Day will be held on Friday, September 16 at Butler Stadium on MCB Quantico. This free event will include a Health Fair from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm and the Walk/Run will be held from 11 am - 1 pm. Retirees & Veterans welcome! Free Improv Class for Veterans
The Armed Services Arts Partnership's seven-week improv class at no cost to/exclusively for veterans, service members, and military family members. Led by professional improviser and USAF Veteran Shawn Westfall, the course will provide a collaborative, supportive environment for participants to learn the basics of short form improv.
