Come out for a day to learn about military and veteran related organizations and resources within the community. This event is open to all active duty,veterans, spouses, dependents, and/or caregivers.

Fighting for Another Tomorrow Charity Golf Tournament September 13th

Announcing the Fighting for Another Tomorrow Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Platoon 22 on September 13, 2017. The event will include a 4-person best ball, breakfast, lunch and awards receptions following the golf. There will be raffles, a silent auction and many on course games!! Registration is required.

Employment and Education Fair: NSA Bethesda September 12th

The NSA Bethesda Fleet and Family Support Center and Navy College will host the NSA Bethesda Employment and Education Fair on Tuesday, September 12th from 10am-2pm. Registration is required and base access must be obtained for individuals without DOD access to base.

Join Platoon 22 on September 10, 2017 in Lewistown MD to help raise awareness and raise funds for prevention of veteran suicide. The event will have tons of phenomenal prizes and 100% of proceeds go back to suicide prevention. Doors open at 12pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance.

The Veterans History Project Would Love to Hear Your Story

The Veterans History Project (VHP) of the Library of Congress American Folklife Center is primarily an oral history program that collects and preserves the firsthand interviews of America's wartime veterans. The DC Mayor's office of Veterans Affairs conducts VHP interviews weekly. Interested veterans should contact the office to schedule and interview.

DCOE Psychological Health & TBI Summit

Building Networks of Support for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) SMVF Technical Assistance (TA) Center will host a webinar that highlights three examples of VSOs and other veteran initiatives that are partnering with the community to better serve the behavioral health needs of veterans and their families: (1) The George W. Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative, (2) the Cohen Veterans Network, and (3) the Student Veterans of America. Participants will learn how they can work together with these organizations and others to strengthen their community’s network of support. Registration is required.
