Available Services for Afghanistan Vets

The Martinsburg Vet Center stands ready to support Veterans, service members who have
experienced the tragedies of war or other types of trauma, and their families with community based
counseling at no cost and without time limitation. Vet Centers offer opportunities to build
connections with other Veterans and service members who have shared or similar experiences
and know they’re not alone.
We encourage any Veteran or service member who served in Afghanistan or a family member
who lost someone while serving in Afghanistan to get connected to the Vet Center.
The Martinsburg Vet Center, invites Veterans, Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, and Family
members to contact the Vet Center for help processing these events.
Vet Centers were founded by Vietnam Veterans who recognized the need of community with
other Veterans who could come together and begin to make meaning of their military service and
begin to heal.
The Martinsburg Vet Center is a part of 300 Vet Centers across the country, who are relying on
their 40 + years of experience in providing safe and confidential places for Veterans and services
members to process through their experiences in combat, or other traumatic experiences endured
in the military.
To get connected, we encourage Veterans, service members and their families to call us during
normal business hours at (304)-263-6776. To learn more about our services visit our website at
