DC I-Corps Veteran Entrepreneur Lean Startup Program

Calling All Veteran Entrepreneurs! Are you a veteran with the passion for high-tech entrepreneurship, but you don't have a team or specific idea for a business in mind? DC I-Corps and George Washington University in partnership with the Small Business Administration Office of Veterans Business Development are offering a new program that teaches prospective veteran entrepreneurs how to create technology startups using technologies developed in Federal Labs. The program is free to selected participants.

Boots to Business Reboot – Feb 24

Veteran Business Outreach Center (VBOC), an SBA sponsored program of Community Business Partnership in Springfield, VA, will be conducting a Boots to Business Reboot program on Friday, February 24 from 9 am - 4 pm at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. This is a great two-step entrepreneurship training program for veterans and their spouses.

Veteran Networking Breakfast – September 27

Objective Rally Point invites you to attend their monthly Veteran networking breakfast on Tuesday, September 27 from 7:15 am - 9 am at the Army-Navy Country Club in Arlington, VA. This networking event is a forum for military and veterans in business and those who support them, or wish to team with them, to meet and connect.

Free Boots to Business Workshop – September 22-23

Boots to Business Reboot is a free 2-day workshop for veterans and their spouses that provides participants an overview of business ownership as a career vocation, an outline and knowledge on the components of a business plan, a practical exercise in opportunity recognition, and an introduction to available public and private sector resources. VIP Grow Session – Apply Now

VIP is a 3-day, 27-hour comprehensive certification program for veteran businesses to increase their ability to win government contracts by establishing best business practices. This is an initiative of the Montgomery County Chamber Community Foundation (MCCCF). The next session begins June 21.
