Warrior Care Month Resource Fair – Nov 16
The Soldier & Family Assistance Center (SFAC) on Fort Belvoir will be holding a resource fair in honor of Warrior Care Month on Thursday, November 16 from 10 am - 2 pm. There will be over 20 organizations available to answer questions and provide information about services! And massages and BBQ will be provided for wounded warriors and their families.
Military Spouse Networking Session – Nov 16
Join the USO at Fort Belvoir they host a speed networking event for military spouses in the Washington D.C. military community. On Thursday, November 16th from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about USO Programs, discuss the art of networking, and network with other military spouses, local employers and community leaders. Warrior Herd Family Workshop – Nov 18
Project Horse Empowerment Center in Purcellville, VA will be hosting a Warrior Herd Family Workshop on Saturday, November 18. Warrior Herd™ is comprised of 12 monthly wellness groups to support and enhance the interpersonal relationships between veterans and members of their families. Applications have now opened for Warrior Herd™. Applications due by November 13th.
Character Does Matter Ambassador Training – Nov 15
TMF’s Character Does Matter Program, presented by Johnson & Johnson, engages veterans and families of fallen heroes to inspire young adults to live with character, develop their leadership skills, and activate them to serve their communities in honor of fallen heroes. On Wednesday, November 15, The Mayor's Office of Veterans Affairs will be hosting the Travis Manion Foundation's (TMF) Character Does Matter Ambassador Training.

Join Christ Church in Fairfax Station on Nov 9th for a powerful program, Listen 2 Veterans, led by Paula J. Caplan, PhD, author of When Johnny and Jane Come Marching Home-How All of Us Can Help Veterans. Through extensive research for more than a decade, Dr. Caplan has developed proven listening methods to help veterans of all ages and from all wars since WWII. The program begins with a video, "Is Anybody Listening," followed by a Q&A session with Dr. Caplan.

VA Veterans Focus Group
The DC VA Medical Center will host a Veterans Focus Group on Patient Satisfaction and Mental Health Stigma on December 12th from 11am-1pm. Lunch will be provided. Pre-event screening and registration required.
