Warrior Herd – Couples Workshop – Oct 15
Project Horse Empowerment Center in Purcellville, VA will be hosting a Warrior Herd Couples Workshop on Saturday, October 15 from 1 - 3 pm. Warrior Herd™ is comprised of 12 monthly wellness groups to support and enhance the interpersonal relationships between veterans and members of their families. Applications have now opened for Warrior Herd™. Applications due by October 10th.
The Journey Conference – Oct 27
The Journey Conference is an annual conference hosted by Brain Injury Services for survivors, family members, and professionals in the brain injury community. At the conference, you'll attend sessions where local experts in the field of rehabilitation discuss practical strategies survivors can use in real life. Attending Journey is a great way for you to connect with other survivors and be educated on community resources available to you and your family as you work to find your “new normal.” Journey is the only conference in Northern Virginia that is designed and dedicated to survivors of brain injuries and their families. Reboot Combat Recovery – 12 Week Course
The course just started and still has seats available! Join in starting on Thursday, September 28 at 6:30 pm for two hours a week for 12 weeks, focusing on the spiritual aspects of combat recovery. Held each Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Floris United Method Church in Herndon. This is a free course - not a support group - providing practical help for Veterans, Service members, first responders and their families dealing with the after effects of trauma. You won't find shortcuts or easy answers, but instead you'll find solutions that last. Dinner and childcare are provided.

Free REVIVE Training – Sept 27
Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Development Services will be hosting a REVIVE! training. This training can help provide you with the skills and tools to administer Nalozone, that can safe an individual that is having an opioid overdose. Free Narcan nasal spray will be dispensed at training.
Recovery Resource Open House – Sept 27
The Fairfax-Falls Church Community Services Board (CSB) invites you to join them and behavioral health partners, for a FREE open house to provide answers and information on issues that you, your family, and your community are facing. The Recovery Resource Open House will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the CSB’s Merrifield Center on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. In addition to CSB clinicians, representatives from a wide range of treatment providers will be available to answer questions and provide information on substance use disorder services available in Fairfax County and around the region.
