Easterseals DC MD VA Celebration – Nov 8

Please join Easterseals DC MD VA on Thursday, November 8th for a reception in their newly renovated Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center in Silver Spring to celebrate their life-changing accomplishments in 2018, and the profound, positive differences they are making in the daily lives of people of all ages with disabilities, special needs, military backgrounds and their families.

They will celebrate the All Thrive Campaign, which made the renovations possible and enabled them to make a greater impact in the community by expanding the Safeway, Inc. Child Development Center, and The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Adult Day Services. They also increased their employment services capacity by creating the Easterseals Disability Staffing Network and expanding our Veteran Staffing Network.

They are thrilled to celebrate the First Anniversary of the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals, which has provided high-quality, accessible, and integrated behavioral health care to over 300 veterans and family members, and the families of active duty service members throughout DC, Maryland and Virginia.

The evening will also include the dedication of the Lisa Reeves Community Room in The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Adult Day Services, in honor of their former President and CEO.

The reception will begin at 5:30, but all guests are welcome to arrive anytime between 4:00-5:30 pm to take a guided tour of the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center to see much the staff and program participants enjoy the renovated building.
