Social Services Specialist III

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours weekly this position is funded by a Federal grant and offers no benefits
Salary: $28.82/hr.
Description: Under limited supervision, oversees and performs clinical identification of offenders and complex case management, referring to appropriate treatment and social services for program participants. Serves as a policy expert in clinical areas related to substance abuse, mental health, and social work; researches effective incentives, sanctions, and treatment modalities, creates related policy, and provides technical guidance and training to the team. Locates treatment providers, understands program requirements and method of service delivery. Evaluates treatment program competency, and conducts quality assurance to ensure appropriate treatment and delivery of social services. Ensures the team is informed and consistently applying incentives and sanctions, and is knowledgeable in gender, age, and culturally specific treatment and social services. Ensures procedures meet the local, state, federal, and Department of Justice guidelines. Creates and maintains confidential social records on clients. Serves as a core participant critical to the efficacy of the treatment team
Preferred Qualifications: Substantial experience in multidisciplinary human services systems with hands on experience working with Veterans and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Work or related disciplines are preferred degrees.
