Free Creative Workshops for Veterans and their Families

Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (CSC) is offering a FREE program of creative workshops for veterans; active-duty, Guard, and reserve service members; and their families and caregivers.

For military participants: Shakespeare Scene Study. Participants will choose from scenes and monologues to study, read, speak, and perform (usually with a partner) under the direction of a CSC teaching artist.

For families (spouses/partners, kids age 5 and older, parents, grandparents), caregivers, other co-participants: Theatre Appreciation. Please join us at the same time in a different space! Get familiar with “the basics.” A CSC teaching artist introduces you to acting, directing, and design through engaging activities like drawing, crafting, performance, and critical response.

Dates: Wednesday evenings, February 26–April 29, 2020
Times: 5:30pm–8:30pm
Location: Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals, 1420 Spring Street #300, Silver Spring, MD 20910
