Free Writing Workshop for Veterans

Montgomery County Public Libraries (MCPL) is offering a free six-session workshop open for veterans, service members, and their adult family members.

Led by Marine combat veteran Dario DiBattista from the Veterans Writing Project, the creative writing workshop will focus on the elements of the craft of writing fiction and non-fiction including scene, setting, dialogue, narrative structure and plot. Participants will create new works and have the opportunity to share their work with others in the group and receive feedback on work from participants and from the workshop leader. The workshop is appropriate for beginning and intermediate level creative writers.

The six-session workshop will take place at the Rockville Memorial library, 21 Maryland Ave., Rockville, on Saturdays, September 30, October 7, 14, 21, 28 & November 4 1:00 to  3:00 pm.
