Hope and Healing – A spiritual open house for Veterans
Hope and Healing: A Spiritual Open House for Veterans
Sundays: May 27, and June 24, 1-4pm
The Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage and chapels on the lower level.
Drop in the last Sunday of the month and explore contemplative practices for resilience. Walk the labyrinth, take part in a guided meditation, or simply sit in the silence of the Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage. Healing ministers, chaplains and counsellors will be available throughout the afternoon for prayer and conversation. Hope and Healing Sundays are a program of the Veterans’ Spirituality Ministry at Washington National Cathedral.

About Veterans Spirituality at the Cathedral . . .
The Veterans’ Spirituality Ministry invites veterans and their families to experience the cathedral as a house of prayer for all people and a place for spiritual healing and wholeness. We strive to create a safe space, physically and spiritually, for veterans, active duty military, and family members. Through the Center for Prayer and Pilgrimage and supported by the Cathedral congregation and a volunteer community consisting of trained professionals, we welcome all who are seeking
- a refuge for quiet contemplation and holy conversation;
- strength through prayer and meditation practices for healing and wholeness; and
- a sacred space to encounter the presence of the Holy.
