POSITION TITLE: Central Maryland Regional Resource Coordinator – Contractual, Full Time, No Benefits

SALARY: $40,000 – $65,000

The Regional Resource Coordinator (RCC), under the direction of Maryland’s Commitment to Veterans (MCV) Director, is responsible for managing the Central Maryland catchment area (Baltimore City, Baltimore, Harford, Howard and Anne Arundel counties) to ensure the provision of behavioral health care services (mental health and substance use disorder) to veterans and their family members. The RRC will take referrals from the program hotline and link veterans with services through the VA Maryland Health Care System.  If behavioral health services are not available through the VA Maryland Health Care System or US Veterans Health Administration, the RRC will coordinate the service provision through the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Behavioral Health Administration until services are available through the VA.  The RRC will take referrals for services other than for behavioral health services and ensure the veteran is connected to the appropriate subject matter expert.  The RRC will maintain a resource repository of subject matter experts for housing, education, employment and health care in the respective region served.  The RRC will work with regional government, business and nonprofit organizations to ensure MCV information is accessible to all potential partners and callers. RRC assists with the development and implementation of the statewide program plan and provides veteran feedback, data and anecdotal information.

Employees receive supervision from the MCV Director.  RRCs do not directly supervise but may be lead workers. Employees may be required to work days and nights which may include weekends and holidays.  Employees are required to have and to display at all times excellent interpersonal skills.  Travel throughout Maryland is an element of the job.
