Quantico 100 – April 29
During May 1917, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, then the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, joined Major General Commandant George Barnett to cut the first tree symbolizing the official acquisition of the Marine Reservation Quantico, Virginia. On April 29, the MCM marks the 100-year anniversary of Marine Corps Base Quantico with the Quantico 100, a 100-minute challenge run.
The Quantico 100 is a 100 minute, log-as-many-laps-as-you-can challenge run. Beginning at historic Butler Stadium, 1,000 participants will accumulate as many laps as possible on a 2.6 mile loop course.
