Ride to Zero – End Veteran Suicide

veteran suicide

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) is a non-profit, 501(c) organization committed to helping and honoring United States Veterans and those currently serving in our armed forces.  CVMA membership is comprised of combat veterans who have served our nation honorably and who have a desire and the commitment to give back to our community.  Our local chapter, MD 40-1, has a specific focus on veterans in the state of Maryland and a national focus on veterans issues as they relate to suicide, post-traumatic stress, and traumatic brain injury.

On August 26, 2017 our CVMA chapter will host our first annual “Ride to Zero”.   This event is being held to raise awareness of veteran suicide and promote action to end this deadly epidemic.  To this end, all funds raised are being donated to support the National Center for Veterans Studies (NCVS) and their treatment and research initiatives.  The Ride to Zero is expected to draw large numbers of motorcycle riders from across the Maryland, D.C., and Virginia areas; however, it is open to any and all individuals with a willingness and desire to support our veterans.
