Spotlight on Women’s Health Current LGBT Health Research in VA

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Veterans are a minority population who experience numerous disparities in health risk behaviors, adverse social determinants of health, mental health, and physical health. VA is committed to health equity, and although research about LGBT Veterans is growing, many challenges remain. This cyberseminar provides an overview of current VA HSR&D research about LGBT Veterans, features two examples of HSR&D-supported research projects focused on LGBT Veterans, and summarizes some infrastructural VA resources (e.g., SharePoint, LGBT research group) that can support LGBT Veteran research.
