Together Toward Transformation: A CCAoA Roundtable Series

Together Toward Transformation: A CCAoA Roundtable Series

Parents & Families

Saturday, September 12, 2020

1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET

The COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the cracks in the U.S. child care system, and the added burden of the public health crisis threatens to break the system entirely. Providers who have remained open or are starting to reopen are facing a nearly impossible task: caring for children in a safe environment that meets public health guidelines, but without the necessary resources to do so. With the nation’s attention on the role that  child care plays in making our economy function, we have an opportunity to build a new child care system – one that actually works for children, families, child care providers and employers.

In order to develop big, bold and informed proposals to rework our child care system, CCAoA is convening four Roundtables throughout September 2020 to gather the input of four critical sets of stakeholders: Families, Child Care Providers, Employers and Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) agencies.

They’re looking for interested, innovative, out-of-the-box thinkers to join these sessions. Once you’ve been selected to participate in this exclusive event, they will send you more information on registering. The call for applicants closes a week before each roundtable.

CCAoA will analyze the input and ideas they receive during these roundtable discussions and transform them into bold policy proposals for a brand-new child care system.
