USO-Metro: Food items available for Coast Guard families

After 77 years of service to our nation’s military members and their families, USO-Metro understands that in times of crisis, members of our Armed Forces come together as one to support their brothers and sisters in Arms.

USO-Metro is proud to be a member of this family, and are standing ready to help.

With approximately 2,600 Coast Guard members stationed in the National Capital Region working without pay, USO-Metro is reaching out to individuals with a military ID or CAC card to deliver a ready-to-go pre-packed grocery bag(s) with the items listed below.

 

1-bag of rice

1-bag/box mashed potato

2-cans/containers of fruit

1-jar peanut butter

1-jar of jelly

1- box of pasta

1-jar/can pasta sauce

1-box mac and cheese

4- cans of vegetables

1- can of beans

1- can of chili

2- canned meat/tuna

2- cans of soup

1 box of cereal or oatmeal or pancake mix

1 dessert item

 

Coast Guard active duty members and dependents must bring your military ID to pick up your grocery bag during the following business hours starting Friday, January 25th:

To ensure USO are can distribute groceries to as many Coast Guard members as possible, only one grocery bag per family (feeds a family of four) will be made available.
