Veteran Benefits 101: Providers Register Now

Free Veteran Benefits 101 Workshop for Providers

Do you work with veterans in our community?  Have you ever wondered if your client qualifies for VA benefits?  Do you find yourself wondering things like “What is Aid and Attendance?” “How does a discharge upgrade work?” or “What is a Survivor Pension?” If so, this program is for you!

In partnership with the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) and the Henry M Jackson Foundation, Serving Together is hosting a free, one hour informational session that will cover the basics of the veteran benefits process.

Veteran Benefits 101 is designed for community providers such as case managers, social workers and nonprofit employees who work with veterans in our community.  Join us to find out more about VA benefits eligibility, the claims process, and the role of the MDVA Veteran Benefits Officer.

Registration is required.  Email Julie Riggs at JRiggs@mhamc.org to register or call 301-424-0656 ext. 547 for more information.
