Volunteer Opportunities at Promise Landing Farm
The first Volunteer Orientation and Training at Promise Landing Farm will be held on Wednesday December 11th from 5:30pm until approximately 8pm. During this time there will be an orientation to the facility, an overview of equine-assisted activities, volunteer responsibilities, emergency procedures, confidentiality issues, safety rules and regulations, and an introduction to the population that will be served by our program.
Please dress appropriately for the weather (you will be inside the barn for most of the time) and make sure to wear closed-toed shoes as you will be working around/with the horses. Please bring a completed copy of the COMPLETED VOLUNTEER FORM with you if you can (you can fill it out at the barn if you need to as well).
If you are able to attend please send an email to brittany@promiselandingfarm.com so they know how many people will be here. Please also include in the email any horse handling, riding or therapeutic riding lesson experience you have so we are able to place you in the volunteer experience group best for you. At this time, all volunteers must be at least 13 years old.
If you are not able to attend, there will be more orientation/training dates in the future.
