More and more veteran are using service dogs to help cope with their Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) will not pay for veterans to receive service animals.

Mental Health Association, through their H.O.P.E.S Program, offers free and confidential Text services. A trained specialist is available Monday through Thursday 4pm to 9pm at 301-738-2255.
