    The 2018 Winterhaven Homeless Stand Down will be on Saturday, January 27 from 9 am – 2 pm at the DC VA Medical Center. Services offered from over 70 participating federal, state, and community agencies.

  • Salute to the Armed Forces – Jan 23

    The Prince William Chamber of Commerce will be holding their annual Salute to the Armed Forces on Tuesday, January 23 from 11 am – 2 pm at the Clubs at Quantico & Crossroads Events Center. Featuring Captain DeShauna Barber, U.S. Army Reserve & Miss USA 2016. Tickets are $45 for Chamber members and $60 for non-members. Ticket includes lunch.

  • Startup Standup – Dec 12

    Bunker Labs DC semi-annual pitch competition STARTUP STANDUP will be held on Tuesday, December 12 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at WeWork Dupont in DC.     The Fort Belvoir Collaborative will meet on Thursday, December 14 from 12 – 2 pm at the USO on Fort Belvoir (5940 9th Street, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060). We will be having 3 presenters available to discuss spiritual wellness programs available for military and veterans and are wanting to ask for your input on the military/veterans you are working with.

    The American Red Cross at Fort Belvoir will be having their Annual Holiday Open House on Thursday, December 14 from 11 am – 2 pm. There will be food, fun and prizes!

  • LinkedIn Workshop for Military Spouses – Jan 18

    Project Next S.T.E.P. will be holding a Linked In Workshop for Military Spouses on Thursday, January 18 at the Microsoft Store Theater in Tysons Corner Mall. Attendees will learn how to strategically create a compelling profile of capabilities and accomplishments, gain an understanding of how to grow their professional reach and learn how their profile is only somewhat similar to their resume.

    Association of the United States Army will be holding a Job Fair with Pro Football Plus by Superbowl Champion Tony “Mac the Sack” McGee on Monday, December 11 from 11 am – 1 pm in Arlington, VA. Open to military, veterans and their families.

  • Warrior Herd: Veterans Camaraderie Workshop – Dec 16

    Project Horse Empowerment Center in Purcellville, VA will be hosting a Warrior Herd Veterans Camaraderie Workshop on Saturday, December 16. Warrior Herd™ is comprised of 12 monthly wellness groups to support and enhance the interpersonal relationships between veterans and members of their families. This is a no-cost workshop thanks to our sponsors. Applications have now opened for Warrior Herd™. Applications due by December 9th.

  • Wreaths Across America – Dec 16

    Join Blue Star Families and many others to remember our fallen heroes, honor those who serve, and teach the value of freedom by volunteering at Arlington National Cemetery. Blue Star Families will be participating in Wreaths Across America on Saturday, December 16th, at 8:30 a.m. If you aren’t familiar with Wreaths Across America, you will help lay wreaths on all of the grave sites of those who have served our country. There is no age limit to volunteer, and we encourage families to come and share the experience.
